    Since foundation in 1974, Simmons & Company's M&A activity has ranged from prominent large industry-shaping transactions to representing small privately or corporate-owned companies. These transactions have taken place in boom, bust, bottom and growth environments. They have encompassed virtually every sector of the energy service industry. Approximately 20% of these have been cross-border transactions.
    As of December 31, 2007, Simmons & Company had completed 511 transactions worth over $88 billion.
    Since its inception in August 1999, the Aberdeen office has completed 92 transactions worth over $5.5 billion. Two-thirds of these have been cross-border transactions.
